Lucas Oil Modified Series is the FIRST to Legalize Fuel Injection
for Saturday Night Circle Track Racing!
Well....I just got off the Lucas Oil Modified Series (LOMS) web site and the 2014 rules and procedures are out! Really great highlight news.....a return in all of our great sponsors, more travel money, rotating trophy dashes and a very big ...surprise for me and it reads like this...... "We will have an ongoing program to test and educate our race teams on fuel injection - TBA."
Since 2006 the LOMS was founded and ran by Greg, Brownie and Bill. As a business person myself, one cannot understand
what effort and strategic decisions that these three men have made to excel this series through one of the toughest times that our nation has seen for business in years.
To Greg, Brownie, Bill and my fellow LOMS competitors and teams, I think you have again made the correct decision to test
and consider the use of fuel injection in this series. I would like all of you to know that my spirit and enthusiasm to introduce fuel injection as any type of an advantage for me and my team never entered my mind but, to offer a more efficient, up to date and trouble free fuel system that would save money for all of us. To this day no Saturday night short track series either asphalt or dirt offer a fuel injection system and the LOMS will be in position to set the new standard and pace for the future of our racing.
Change is always difficult especially in racing but, I would have never taken this chance to exert so much effort if I was not surrounded by so many great officials, drivers and teams!
